-System Specification-

System specification describes the operational and performance requirements of a system, such as a computer. It is considered a high-level document that dictates global functions.

System specifications help to define the operational and performance guidelines for a system. It may outline how the system is expected to perform, and what that may include. Key specifications may include interface definitions, document design rules and functional areas

Types of System specification
  Processor speed and architecture
Clock speed - the speed of a computer's processor chip that is measured in gigahertz (Ghz)
Architecture - It refers to the basic design and complexity of a processor
Front side bus speed - is a measurement of how fast a microprocessor communicates with the computer's motherboard
  Graphics system
Determines how well the computer can work with visual output
  Hard Drive Speed and Capacity
The Hard drive speed and capacity determines the maximum speed and the maximimum capacity of a hard drive
  RAM (random access memory
the place in a computing device where the operating system (OS), application programs and data in current use are kept so they can be quickly reached by the device's processor
